in psalm 19:1-3, the psalmist states:
the heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. there is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
i was listening today to a saturday night worship session we had six months ago. during the worship time we started spontaneously singing from psalm 19. i started singing this phrase:
how can ones so silent be so loud?
only when they’re shouting the glory of Your Name (fame).
hearing that today got me thinking. i have such a small voice. on my best day…i’m just a man. i’m just one out of 6.5 billion people. i’m not really popular. not a lot of people know me. so how can my voice (and life) which is so small and silent be heard by nations and people far way? how can i cause my voice to break through the noise and ring clear in people’s ears?
by declaring the glory of God.
what thoughts stir up in you about this? what are practical ways you can declare the glory of God in speech and action in your life? does God exalt people who “live to glorify” Him?
